When Repsol Sport Centre set out four years ago to create a customized app driven member loyalty program, it didn’t have a model within the industry to learn from. But the Centre did know that mobile devices were a big part of its customers’ daily lives. Members would often forget to bring their member cards to access the facility, but they would never forget their phones. This notion — along with the ever increasing rate of mobile visits to the website, the rising requests to guarantee a spot in the high demand group fitness classes and the growing research on social media marketing — helped define Repsol Sport Centre’s goal to create a digital loyalty program.
